Dear Sibling,
Mass is not simply an obligation. We don’t go for Mass because we have to.
We go to Mass because it is life.
In Mass, the Son of God is physically present…
In the Church…
In front of your very eyes!
And then, He gives Himself to you, so that you may eat His flesh and have eternal life (John 6:54).
When you go up the communion line, before you receive Christ, just simply remember:
“The Son of God will show Himself personally to me, He will touch me, He will feed me. I have everything I need from Him.”
Mass is not just an obligation. Mass is life.
