26. Time of prayer

+JMJ+

Dear Sibling,

During Lent, we are living a life of penance.

One person to best emulate during this time would be Mary, the Mother of God.

She lived a home life that was humble, poor and silent. Her daily duties were part of her prayers to God.

And she was (and is) God’s greatest creation.

We can copy this in our daily life.

If we can set aside time to pray in the morning, afternoon and evening, we end up becoming:

Humble because we submit the day to God.

Poor because we disconnect from the world.

Silent because we are in prayer.

An increasing prayer life is the perfect way to grow in humility and emulate Mary.
